Kudos to the folks at Central 1 for putting together such a great show last week! They should be especially recognized for putting together such a creative way to drive traffic to the booths. In the age of fading tradeshows, it’s great to see that show organizers are still so mindful of how important traffic is to exhibitors. Attendees at the show were given a “passport” where they had to go around the exhibit floor and get stamps from exhibitors. If they received 5 stamps, they were eligible for prize draws donated by the exhibitors and sponsors at the end of the show. We were also given “Bonus cards” to hand out to attendees who we thought took the time to get to know our product and weren’t there just for the sake of collecting stamps.
The show was well attended with a good mix of senior management folks and middle management and I was able to have many good conversations with the attendees. It was clear to me that many organizations were looking for simple, easy-to-use and configurable applications to help streamline their business processes. Credit unions continue to merge and in the process, are trying to look for ways to combine their back offices, drive efficiencies and lower operating costs. Common solutions that many have asked for included applications to automate their daily bank report distributions, ways to process mortgage applications faster and the ability to scan and index loan documents and other supporting documentation into an easily searchable and secure web archive.
It’s been great to see the market place be so responsive to all the solutions we’ve been offering. Almost half of the credit unions in BC have now signed up for an e-statement partner and the other half that haven’t are out there looking for a partner to link up with. I’m glad to say DOXIM continues to be the market leader in this space and I am confident we will continue to offer solutions that will meet the needs of the markets we serve.
